“Old Florida” is an ongoing collection of oil paintings focused on Florida’s natural landscapes, waterways, and coastal scenes. Drawing from traditional Florida imagery and the legacy of early Florida landscape painters such as A. E. Backus and the Florida Highwaymen, the work uses a contemporary approach to color and composition. Rather than reflecting a specific place, the work aims to capture a feeling from a moment in time.
