“Gourdgeous”
Artist Bess Auer is from Winter Park, Florida, where peacocks roam freely. Using a Maranka gourd and clay, naturally shed feathers, and bamboo from her yard, Bess wanted to recreate the beauty of these birds.
Materials: dried gourd, polymer clay, naturally-shed feathers (some are even from Bess's hens), bamboo, glass, acrylic paint, wire hooks. Size: 42” x 45” x 20“
