"It's a Small Gourd After All"

$424.00

Materials: dried gourd, polymer clay, acrylic, glass.

Size: Extra large gourd - approx. 28” x 14” x 14“

Theme: Community

Inspiration: This gourd was designed specifically for this art show “Sculpting Life and Harvesting Hope” with Second Harvest Food Bank in mind. The idea that we’re all in this together and that by helping the least of us, the rest of us benefit is something Bess is passionate about. This sculpture combines 6 smaller gourds nestled in one extra large gourd, which has been left unpainted to show the gourd in its natural dried state. Some gourd look happy and excited, while other look whistful or even sad, reflecting the many different viewpoints of the members of our Central Florida community.
