Give Kids the World Village, which welcomes children with life-threatening illnesses and their families for a weeklong cost-free fantasy vacation, is hosting a Blogger Bash on September 12 from 5-9 p.m. at their Kissimmee, Florida, Village. It’s a chance for local bloggers to tour the facility, network, and enjoy special entertainment and great food. It’s free to attend, and special children’s events are planned upon request.
All types of blogs will be represented:
Food bloggers—perhaps with an interest in the meals provided by Perkins and Boston Market, or the ever-popular “Ice Cream for Breakfast” offered at the Village
Beauty bloggers—who might want to hear all about Twinkle Hope’s La-Ti-Da Royal Spa where these special kids are pampered.
Travel bloggers—interested in “voluntourism” (combining travel with a service project), or learning how our local theme parks support the Villa’s efforts.
Photography bloggers—getting a beautiful photo of the magical facilities that help families forget, if only for a brief moment, the struggles they face.
Mom bloggers—who will be touched by the stories of strength of amazing families through tremendous adversity.
Celebrity bloggers—anxious to hear who’s been to the Village lately to support their amazing work. (Recently reality stars from Survivor, Big Brother, The Mole, The Amazing Race and more showed up to lend their support!)
Journal bloggers—expressing the stories of truly extraordinary people who volunteer.
Local event bloggers—who may not even be aware of the amazing work going on right in their own back yard.
“Our Blogger Bash recognizes the tremendous impact bloggers have on audiences across the spectrum,” Pam Landwirth, GKTW president said. “Hopefully, once they experience the Village for themselves and see the smiles on the faces of these precious children, they will join the chorus of Awareness Angels who help get our message out each and every day.”
If you would like to be invited to this one-of-a-kind event, send your information (name, email address, blog name and link) to Mark Hoewing at Give Kids the World.
